Mana Up Hawaiʻi
About Us
Mana Up is a statewide initiative to build up and support our ecosystem of entrepreneurs in Hawaiʻi, providing them with resources and tools to scale globally. Many of the makers and artisans who participate in our program have been recognized internationally for their products and find their success in connection to home–from locally sourced ingredients to native culture, or an elevated sense of place and community. As these entrepreneurs continue to grow, they also help to sustain our local community through economic diversification, high-quality jobs, givebacks, investment, and a regenerative culture of entrepreneurship.

Haleakalā National Park
About Us
Haleakalā National Park is a National Park Service site, one of 423 sites and was established in 1916 as a section of Hawai'i National Park. It is a dormant volcano and located on the island of Maui. The National Park Service protects and preserves cultural and natural resources for this and future generations. Haleakalā is home to many endemic (found nowhere else in the world) and endangered and threatened species like the ‘ua‘u (Hawaiian petrel) and 'āhinahina (Silversword plant) which depend on the park's management to help them succeed. We offer careers in natural and cultural resource management, interpretation and education, law enforcement, facilities management, administration and so much more.

Kupu
About Us
Founded in 2007, Kupu is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) non-profit, that works to empower future generations of environmental stewards to create a more sustainable Hawai‘i. Our hands-on training programs educate and mentor the next generation to become stewards of our culture and the environment. Our programs place young adults on a pathway to success in both their personal and professional lives, providing them with the training, experience and skills needed to serve their communities and preserve our precious natural resources.
Kupu, which means “to sprout” or “to grow” in Hawaiian, has a two-fold mission: to preserve the land while empowering the next generation of environmental & cultural stewards. Kupu’s work has been likened to the role of the Kupukupu fern which is one of the first plants to cultivate the land after a lava flow. The fern not only serves as a foundational species for rebuilding a healthy, native ecosystem, but it is also symbolic of a place where knowledge can grow. Kupu Program participants have the opportunity to gain vital work experience, develop skills and further expand their professional networks.
